St. Dennis Band Solo and Quartet Contest 2025

The 2025 St Dennis Band Solo and Quartet Contest takes place at St Dennis Band Room on

Saturday 22rd November 2025.

Contest Time: 10am (Competitors entering the morning classes, please arrive at the venue by 9:30am).

Draw Time: The draw will take place the previous evening.

Venue: St Dennis Band Room, Hendra Road, St. Dennis PL26 8EQ

Please contact the Accompanist regarding your music. You may want to arrange a rehearsal or at least contact to inform them of what you wish to perform. They would be familiar with most of the music, but this would definitely apply to the Aire Varies. This would help them enormously and with your performance. Thank you.

Learners Class - Girls or Boys – any age – Learner books or nursery rhymes

Class 1 Girls or Boys 9 years and under

Solo: Own Choice - Slow Melody (not more than 5 minutes)

Class 2 Girls or Boys 12 years and under (inclusive)

Solo: Own Choice – Slow Melody (not more than 6 minutes)

Class 3 Girls or Boys 15 years and under (inclusive)

Solo: Own Choice – Slow Melody (not more than 6 minutes)

*Class 4 Girls or Boys – 18 years and under (inclusive)

Solo: Own Choice - Slow Melody (not more than 6 minutes)

Class 5 Girls or Boys 18 years and under (inclusive)

Solo: Own Choice - Aire Varie – (not more than 7 minutes)

Class 6 Junior Duet – Girls or boys 18 years and Under

Own Choice – (not more than 7 minutes)

Class 7 Junior Quartet - 18 years and under

Own Choice (not more than 10 minutes)
