- Rachael Sloggett (2nd Baritone)

Rachael began playing at the age of 8 having lessons with Shaun Thomas in the Mount Charles Junior Band. She later progressed into the Mount Charles Youth Band. Her favourite playing experience is when she performed at the Music for Youth Festival at the Royal Albert Hall.

Rachael has passed many grade examinations, achieving her grade 8 in the Summer of 2009. She is now furthering her education by studying Music at St. Austell College. She is currently a member of St. Dennis Senior Band, Mount Charles Youth Band and the Cornwall Youth Band.

She enjoys the challenge at St. Dennis Band with many Championship Section Contests where the test pieces are sometimes very demanding. Her ambition is to go to university with the aim of teaching Primary Music.

- Kim Bazeley (Solo Euphonium)

Kim began playing at the age of seven. She started to learn the baritone and then later moved onto the euphonium. Since then she has played Solo Euphonium for both the St Dennis and Cornwall Youth Bands as well as being the Solo Euphonium of the St Dennis Senior Band since 2005.

The highlights of her banding career are winning two National Final Championships with the Senior Band and also being part of a very special winning performace of Eric Ball's Resurgam at Torquay contest with the St Dennis Youth Band.

Kim has been awarded many Soloist/Best Instrumentalist prizes at contests. These include winning the Best Euphonium of the Day and Best player in the 1st Section awards at the West of England's Bandsmens festival.
